Nina Angelo OAM (2009), is an iconic, Marriage Celebrant and local community artist who lives on the Central Coast, NSW Australia. Drawing from over 33 years as a recognised artist and story-teller working with community through the primary mediums of fabric art, screen printing and design, Nina is now focusing on passing on her experience and passion through a variety of endeavours

Mentoring

 

As a woman of substantial life and artistic experience, Nina offers invaluable skills, insight and support to up and coming artists. Mentoring young artists, working in a community arts context Nina aim to provides the rich creative soil in which all young artists are nurtured.

 

Arts Consultancy

Offering creative input to local and national council and government bodies regarding regional public art events and projects.


Workshops

In her space or yours, Nina offers specifically tailored for indiividuals or groups. Experienced in working with both adults and children, Nina offers workshops in mask, kite, banner and flag making, creating visual stories, screen printing, fabric art and much more! She see art as the  'Fabric of Our Lives.' and is passionate about stories and visual arts as a vehicle for ultimate creative expression!

 

Keynote speaking

Nina has a fascinating life story with an abundance of experience and expertise that she easily, creatively and passionately applies to many industries, groups and situations.

 

Nina was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 2009 for her services to The Arts and the Central Coast Community. Nina began her formal studies at the National Art School, East Sydney and has never stopped learning, teaching and expanding her knowledge. Over her lifetime of work, Nina has trained hundreds of professional childcare workers, Primary and Secondary Teachers in new creative activities and modalities.

Nina's philosophy is that art should be accessible to all people to create and to appreciate. She believes that play is important to people of all ages and combines these principles in her work and her life!
She likes her art to be used, worn, slept on and eaten off - a part of every day living.
